Child Health provides funding for culturally enriching programs and projects for students in the public, parochial and private schools in the Quaker Valley School District.
For the 2010-2011 school year, Child Health funded seven area schools for the following projects:
- $500 to St. James School for Tropical Sands Steel Drum Band that included WWII history of how the drums were developed in Trinidad.
- $500 to Sewickley Academy for the Saltworks Theater play I Am the Brother of Dragons that presented substance abuse and peer pressure themes to middle school students.
- $500 to Montessori Children's Community for the 4th and 5th grade annual trip to Washington, DC.
- $500 to Edgeworth Elementary School to help defray the cost of a presentation by A Child's Play.
- $400 to Osborne Elementary School for a full day presentation by Peruvian performer including music, dance, and discussion.
- $500 to Quaker Valley Middle School for family juggling night, safety equipment, costume replacement, storage of juggling equipment.
- $354 to Quaker Valley High School for thirty physics students to attend Carnegie Science Center for SciTech science career exploration.
